Hillbilly to Hollywood (NYFW)

17 Sep

Jeremy Scott. Playful as ever showed a quirky country bumpkin to Hollywood inspired collection for SS12. Using The Beverly Hillbilles 1980s movie as reference you would be right in expecting a lot of denim and dungarees which was the feel to the collections opening. Cool beach prints followed which translated the transition from farm to city which introduced a tropical colour palette. Crazy cactus motifs and even crazier colour combinations followed in the eccentric way Scott does best.

The dresses with dangling question marks left people wondering what Scott is confused about. I wonder what he is confused about? There were also a few other questionable pieces on the runway as some models strutted down in leather briefs and cow print chaps!

The footwear from this collection is said to be a hint at what to expect from the next Adidas x Jeremy Scott collabo, exciting!

Really interesting looks in this collection. I can’t picture people wearing it as pictured, but maybe separate pieces? Idk.
