Jeremy Scott & New Eras Arab Spring

26 Sep

Over the top, daring, eye catching always come to mind on a Jeremy Scott collection. SS13 he presented nothing less with ‘Arab Spring’ for his most recent Fashion Week showcase.

Animal skin, crazy infusions of gold & cheeky sheers set the hip hop meets Arab prince tone..Think Fresh Prince meets Aladdin.

This summer headwear was street fashion hottest accessory whether you were rocking a snapback,  cool headtie or even statement hair and Scott is right on it for next year with this offering of fitteds. Teaming up with New Era, just as with the latest clothing collection the caps centre on fusing urban styling with luxurious & double-take embellishing.

This pack of baroque applique, toffee leather and tassled snake styles are a breath of fashion air and is something that’s been missing from caps of late with the heavy US sporting influence. It is yet to be announced as to how/where the caps can be purchased but I predict these will be just as successfully as the Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals collabo.

Jeremy Scotts Crazy Sun Protectors!

1 Feb

These X-Ray Vision shades by Jeremy Scott & eyewear designer Linda Farrow could be this summer’s eyewear craze. These have been inspired by novelty X-ray shades sold in America which claim to allow you to see through solid objects but in fact simply create an illusion which tricks the mind. I also can’t help wondering if the animated shades in the video Tinie Tempah’s 2011 hit single Pass Out had anything to do with it too.

These ‘crazy sun protectors’ are definitely not shades for the shy and retiring type with the ostentatious red & white swirled lenses and ‘X-Ray Vision’ text on upper brow. I can see these being a hit with the ravers!

Adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott S12

4 Jan

The Jeremy Scott x Adidas collaborations never fail to deliver on the eccentric side of sports fashion and Spring/Summer 2012 is nothing less than bold. From Jeremy Scotts SS12 runway collection it was apparent there would be something exciting in the pipeline for the Adidas collabo.

Taking inspiration from his SS12 runway collection and the classic Adidas Originals vibe you’ll find denim, bold prints, and the signature stuffed animal, winged footwear and oversized tongues to get a tongue or two wagging. As with his runway collection there are a few questionable pieces such as the male belly top and tape measure tracksuit but it fun, as fashion should be!

Hillbilly to Hollywood (NYFW)

Jeremy Scott. Playful as ever showed a quirky country bumpkin to Hollywood inspired collection for SS12. Using The Beverly Hillbilles 1980s movie as reference you would be right in expecting a lot of denim and dungarees which was the feel to the collections opening. Cool beach prints followed which translated the transition from farm to city which introduced a tropical colour palette. Crazy cactus motifs and even crazier colour combinations followed in the eccentric way Scott does best.

The dresses with dangling question marks left people wondering what Scott is confused about. I wonder what he is confused about? There were also a few other questionable pieces on the runway as some models strutted down in leather briefs and cow print chaps!

The footwear from this collection is said to be a hint at what to expect from the next Adidas x Jeremy Scott collabo, exciting!
